front wheel alignment !!!!?

i have a corolla, the front tires are making screeching noises lately. is is it neccessary to do all wheel align. or just front wheel align .wud do?I dont know when you do all wheel alignment,or on what kinda vehical?

Answer:

screeching noise isn't going to be from alignment that most likely is from your brakes and you want to have them checked out because it will just cost you more money the longer you wait. As for alignments go you always want to have a four wheel alignment done if it is a front wheel drive car, the back end of the car has to track evenly with the front end or the car will dog leg down the road and that is unsafe specially when cornering and braking.
First of all, when was the last time you had the wheels aligned? It's recommended that you align them at least once a year. Unless you drive on really bad roads, you might have to get them aligned sooner. Next, the problem with the screeching noises is that your tires are too bald, so every time you turn the tires screech. Replace the tires and the noises will stop. What you can do if you can't afford new tires right now, is bring the rear tires up to the front so that way you won't have to buy new ones right now. But remember to replace your tires every chance you get because it can get dangerous is you're driving around like that.
Screeching noises aren't usually a sign of wheels out of alignment. Screeching noises can be caused by the brakes or wheel bearings. With wheel alignment all 4 wheels are checked, but on some cars only the front suspension can be adjusted while on others, the front and rear suspensions can be adjusted. You would get them aligned when your manufacturer recommends it, generally around 10-12 thousand miles or you should have it checked when you notice any of the following: - Excessive or uneven tire wear. - Steering wheel pulls to the left or right. - Feeling of looseness or wandering. - Steering wheel vibration or shimmy. - Steering wheel is not centered when car is moving straight ahead
