Answer:

If the space heater will run on electricity, it's very unlikely to be any cheaper to run than the baseboardsIt takes a certain amount of electricity to produce a certain amount of heatIf you needed as much heat as what you got from the baseboards, it will cost the same to get the same amount of heat with another kind of electric heaterBaseboards are actually pretty efficientMaybe you should look at keeping the place a bit cooler or turning the heat down at night or if you're out all day, or see if you can get a programmable thermostat.
I need a little more information before I can give you a reasonable answer1) Where do you live? Florida? or New York? The heating requirements are totally different What kind of heat do you have now? Oil heat, gas or are you already all electric? Do you live in an apartment or a house? Are you looking for an electric space heater and expect it to reduce your electric bill? It is possible if you are only heating the area where you are sittingKilowatts are kilowatts Whatever you do, put it on a timerOK, I checked your area and San Diego only has a heating season of 1500 Heating Degree DaysAssuming you are in an apartment with normal windows, I estimate you only need about 6000 BTU per hour for the coldest daysI'd go with a single small 1500 watt ceramic space heater ($25 at Lowe's) with a built in thermostatThat's about 5000 BTU per hourPut a timer ($6 at Lowe's) on it so it kicks on for an hour in the morning while you get dressedMake sure to use a setback thermostat to turn your heat way down at night By the way if you live in an apartment you can save money by turning your heat way down - below the temperature of your neighbors - and let them heat your house through the walls.
Hey, It is true that sugar helps in adding weight but not from fruitsFruits have a lot more to offer other than add weightFor example: Lemon is used for clearer skinBananas are high in potassiumApple's and pear's skin are high in fibreOranges are high in VitC which prevents scurvy among other things Papayas are good for clean and clear skinThe list is endlessDo not be deceived that cutting fruits from your diet is good.it is a total disaster.
gas or propane space heaters work very well for electric you need to make sure you have enough circuits available for run multiple heatersi would use oil filled heaters like the radiator stylethey keep putting out heat even when they arent powered.
Most space heaters are unsafeI certainly wouldn't put them in my homeSan Diego certainly doesn't have freezing cold wintersWith 800 sqftI'm sure you could turn your heat down just a tad lower and wear sweaters and add flannel sheetsTwo or three space heaters will add to your billAt 49 degrees in Delaware, we don't see a spike in our heating bills and we have a 3500 sqfthomeI keep the winter temp at 71 and our weather temps can drop to the low 20's at times.
