Thinking about buying a fuel injected motorcycle (TIRED of the issues with the 4 carbs on my kz11000), but noticed they have a choke cable on those as well.If it‘s fuel injected, why is this needed?
Disc Brakes on bikes have been proven VERY DANGEROUS. I would just geta new bike.
Depends on the bike you get. FI Harleys don't have choke cables. But just like a carb, it probably just speeds up the idle.

properly i'm uncertain with automobiles yet we've a simular service brake with pads on a ski carry that shows 7000 psi of stress - that is going to in straightforward terms paintings at a min of 3000 psi - so i'm guessing over 3000 psi is min
the fuel injection system on the bike is lagging behind some more advanced systems in it's mapping perimeters. the cable operates an enricher valve that does the same thing a choke does on a carburated engine. more attention has been given to this and it has been addressed on newer bikes like my '06 zx14. this system is not maintenance free. the throttle bodies need to be synchronized at scheduled intervals.
Even though it says choke, it's a fast idle. The fellow I got my bike from had it for a number of years and never knew it was fuel injected until I happened to mention it. The manufacturers probably figure it's easier to simply call it a choke thanit is to explain it.
