geo thermal a/c heat exchanger usefull or wase of money 4 Fla?
Miami or the panhandle? Actually makes a difference. You need to know your cost of a KWH from your electric supplier. A competent dealer/installer will have software from the a/c manufacturer that will estimate the annual KWH for a geo and air source a/c of the same tons rating. That will give the savings in kwh for the geo thermal unit. Multiply that by the cost of a KWH and you have the annual savings for the geo unit. Divide the cost difference for the geo unit by the annual savings. If that equals a number less than 8, then the geo is useful.
