Question:

Get answers from millions of real people.?

we use a warming blanket along with another. Where should the warming one be placed? Over the other or next to the sheet.

Answer:

It sounds like it might really be overheating under some conditions, but possibly not when it's sitting in the garage at Firestone. I'm concerned about the history of a heater core problem and the fact that you apparently lost coolant. Worst case possibility - it lost coolant through the heater core, previous owner allowed it to overheat and ended up with blown head gaskets or head damage. That would cause a continuing loss of coolant. Hopefully it's just a leak and not the above. If it is losing coolant, that needs to be tracked down and solved. Rather than hoping the shop checks it at the right time, I'd buy an infrared thermometer of your own. They aren't too expensive and come in handy sometimes. Not sure if you can get them quickly/locally though. Use it to verify the temperature at various points when your gauge is reading high. The radiator should be as hot as the engine side of the system, if it's much cooler you have a flow problem. The one I have is a Raytek MT6, no complaints with it. The MT4 is cheaper ($40 on ) and probably works just as well for coolant temperatures. It does sound like your truck has electrical issues and that could be a factor with the temperature gauge, but those issues sound intermittent, not like what you're temperature gauge is doing. Overheating isn't something to be trifled with so I'd make really sure. You don't want to end up with more serious damage happening.
I think it's called a remote control.. or key fob.. The thing to keep in mind is that when you park your car, you're going to be inside the school right? Well, when you're in a building, the range of the remote is greatly decreased because the walls block the signal somewhat. Not saying you can't set the alarm off while standing behind a wall, because you can. Also, making sure you only have your keys in your pocket helps. There's less of a chance of something hitting the button and setting it off. Key things to remember are distance from you to your vehicle and how many walls are between you and the vehicle. A lot of car alarm remotes only work when you're reasonably close to your vehicle. If your parking lot isn't close by, you don't have much to worry about.
Where I am from the 1 1/4 acre thing is a law unless you supply shelter and supplemental feed - like hay bales. As for the mud, well its spring - mud happens. Since they just got the 3 horses, they may be making due with what they have at the moment which may explain the laundry tub being used as a trough. And shots are only necessary if they are traveling or competing. And unless they are lame, maybe they are just overdue for the farrier or haven't found one yet. And I don't feed sweetfeed either. They may just be horse-sitting. They may just need a little time to get things under control. If the humane society didn't find anything wrong, you may need to accept that their standards are a little different than yours. Edit: I'll take the thumbs down as a compliment.
