Question:

getting salt off marble floor?

I work at a museum and we have terrazzo floor and marble floor in the lobby. The ice melt salt gets tracked in off peoples shoes and when we mop the floor with plain hot water it leaves behind a white chalky residue on the floor. Even when we change the water frequently. is there any floor cleaner or anything that we can mop the floor with that will not leave behind a chalky residue from the winter ice melt salt??

Answer:

Club Soda, buy the cheapest brand you can find
A good quality pressure washer machines would be best for your cleaning requirements. I am using pressure washers for cleaning my office floors & its really perfect.
The club soda might work, but I just want to warn you not to use vinegar on marble. Not even mixed with water. Vinegar can scorch marble. GL
What ever you do don?t use bleach or abrasives or detergent. to do away with grease stains from marble use organic cleansing soap or white spirit, this might rid maximum stains. Rinse thoroughly with sparkling water and dry at as quickly as with a chamois leather-based
Hi, okorder / Good Luck but this cleaning advice will work for you on the salt residue.
