So I just knocked off the last of my 100 pound weight loss. I am currently in awesome shape which as you can tell is drastically different than how I‘ve lived my life.Being 100 pounds overweight has made me miss out on things I‘ve wanted to do. So I‘ve started a list. On that list is to learn how to ride a motorcycle. I‘ve always loved bikes and I really want to learn how to ride one.I‘m most attracted to the ninja bikes. I‘m 5‘8 and 20 years old.What‘s a good starting ninja bike? What‘s the cost like? How difficult is learning to ride? Are lessons required? Do you need a motorcycle license apart from a car license? How much is insurance usually? Basically tell me everything and anything. Thanks!
Another newbie rider you are. :) Well, I started riding when I was 19 with Kawasaki ninja 300 as my first bike. Expect that their is probably a huge difference with the price of that bike now compare to when I first bought it. Well, it depends on what country you are. In US, it probably cost $4,799 to $5,499. Kawasaki ninja 650 cost $8,000. Just try to check some websites. It's not actually difficult to ride as long as you know how to balance your body. I assume that you do biking. It's the same with motorcycling. The only difference there is the engine. :) You can take some motorcycle classes. Some states requires every motorcyclist to take classes. yea congrats on losing that weight. I would first go get the permit for the motorcycle and then take the safety/training course. most of the courses will have bikes that you can ride while in class. I wouldnt run out and buy any bike yet until you see if you would even enjoy riding. But whatever you do be careful out there cause people dont see motorcycles on the road
