Being an RN I don't see how a heating pad could cause clots. I am not an expert, but I use a heated warmer just like a heating pad only very small on the heels of babies when I need to take blood to get lab work, because it helps the blood flow. Heating pads are supposed to help the pain. I would ask your ob/gyn if you are really concerned.
if you haven't had training yet, your manager will answer all those questions for you. they probably want you to try to get customers to sign up for store credit cards. it's all in the sales pitch. sometimes they get discounts off their first purchase with the new credit card if they sign up for one.
It should be fine. If possible, I'd wait until after going through security to put it on. Just have it in your purse or carry-on bag, then make a trip to the bathroom once you're through. There shouldn't be a problem if you go through a metal detector, but they might ask you what it is if you go through a body scanner, which could be embarrassing for you. If that won't bother you, then there shouldn't be any issue at all in wearing it.
