Im only dying some of my hairlike streaks.I need to know how to use regular foil to separate it from the rest of my hair.
This is how I do it: Things needed- Aluminum foil(plastic wrap works just as good) Toothbrush or paint brush(it helps but not needed) Comb Vaseline/conditioner (also not needed but recommend) rubber bands or hair ties I tear off aluminum foil rectangles long enough and wide enough to cover all of the hair Im dying.I Seection off the hair I want to dye and tie it into a small ponytail. Its better to have the sections picked out already so you're not trying to do it while another section is already processing with dye.I like to coat the roots of the hair AROUND the section that Im dying with a little vaseline or conditioner(actually adding a tad of conditioner to the hair dye will keep it from frying your hair). That was if it leaks or runs it wont dye the hair I dont want to dyeTake a section and place it lying on the aluminum foil as close to your scalp as possible.Paint the dye onto the section with a tooth brush making sure to coat it well.Fold the aluminum foil around the hairAs long as you wash it quickly, you can just pull all of the foil pieces out and wash your hair together. It wont have time to lighten the other hair if you do it quickly. You can also wash each section seperately if you cant pull the foil out quickly enough.Wash and condition your hair wellWorks for me.
