has anyone tried the airmax spiral flow cold air intake? and is it any good??

Answer:

If you want to get a CAI (Cold Air Intake) simply get a decent one, such as KN. Airmax spiral flow intakes are simply a marketing gimmick, and the fluid dynamics simply do not stand up to real world use. Think about it this way: adding a vortex component simply increases the friction against the outer surface, because now the air has to travel 4 or 5 times further to get from point A to point B. Because rather than going in a straight line, it has to revolve along the way. Also, getting the air (which is going in a straight line to begin with) to start revolving takes energy (remember Newton's First Law of Motion: Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.). So, the engine will have to work harder to suck in air that must now be set into a vortex motion. It's a waste of money. Simply get a mandrel bent intake.
get A KN COLD AIR INTAKE IF YOU ARE GETTING ONE
