The bumps you feel are called rugae. Rugae is only found in certain places in the human body: Vagina, Urinary bladder, stomach, gallbladder and scrotom. Rugue allows these organs to have increased surface area - meaning it allows them to get larger and smaller without causing issue. The stomach as rugae so that when you eat, the stomach can slightly increase in size without exploding. The Urinary bladder has rugae so that it can store more urine and therefore allow you to hold it if you need to. And the vagina has rugae because it allows the vagina to expand and lengthen for sexual intercourse and childbirth. Without it, you would experience LOTS of pain during both (even though with drugs childbirth is still a bit painful from what I hear). So there you have it. Your speed bumps and what they are for. Also aides in sexual gratification during intercourse. Take care.
Unless they're sanitary gloves (latex ones) you shouldn't be required. It's a liability to them if your hands receive damage, but you can get away with it honestly if you do not like the gloves and nobody sees you.
There is a Federal Family leave act that allows you up to 3 months unpaid leave from your job for medical and other reasons and they cannot fire you. Check with your employer as to how this works in your state Your morning sickness will taper off during the 2nd trimester, but you should try at least to see if you can get a month or so off.
