its like a black vinyle thing they sell at ebay like a couch support that prevents you sinking when you sit on the sofa?does it really work? for how long? is it worth buying
Like anything that is black vinyle thing, it is probably made of material like masonite covered with a thin vinyl/plastic that is heat sealed together. While it appears to work for a while, it too will eventually wear out, allowing your sofa to sag. These products are usually made for sleeper sofas due to the type of bed frame installed in sleeper sofas. If you want a better product to support your sofa cushions, Measure your sofa withoug cushions, from front to back, just under the area where the back rest and seat deck join. then measure from one arm rest to the other . Use the deminsions and have a piece of 3/8 or 1/2 plywood cut to the sizes you've taken. Cover it with some inexpensive bed sheet fabric and place it on the seat deck area, pushed back far enough to let it rest behind the front sofa rail. Put your cushions back where they belong, and sit on it. You'll find it to be more firm, and will last longer than your black vinyle thing
yes, it works, if you have a very soft couch/sofa and you don't want to sink into it, get one
