I have a 6 year old 75lbgolden retriever and he just opened up the garbage and ate a ball of tin foil about 1-1.5 inches wide about 20 minutes agoHe didn't swallow it whole, buthe chewed it upI have given him some bread for the fiber, but he wont drink any water.What should I do?? Should I just wait it out to see if it passes, or take him to the vet ASAP?? I am really worried!Thank you for your help!
Give him a little poke, if he doesnt like it hes probally alright :)
try spraying him with some water see if he moves it will also help him molt
He will probably pass it without any troubles but I would induce vomiting to avoid any potential problemsPour about 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide down his throat and take him outside quickHe won't like it and will fight you but it beats a weekend trip to the emergency vet for an intestinal blockage.
