Help? What is this on my window seal?

Answer:

Of course not! It works better with bleach. Doubles the size of it. I promise.
Just add some sand to the soil or vermiculite or make sure it is fairly loose soil. Seeds will just grow. They like as much light as possible. Even a small florescent will grow them if the walls are reflective and don't let out the light. You can use aluminum foil or white paint. You have to keep the plants at least a few inches from the bulb assuming it is a florescent. Just use a big planting pot if possible or the plant will probably be smallish. They will die if you move them from florescent to sunshine if they are used to it. You would want to sterilize the soil if you had a very big opperation. Other wise you might get little bugs eating the plants. None of my friends ever had any problems and all they did was put seeds in a planting pot and used normal soil and fertilizer.
try it and see
yes, you can grow in soil, but you need light. if you dont have light your plant will stretch tilt over and it will be worthless to keep growing it.
