Question:

hey can i do bench presses on the floor?

i bought some used weights abd wanted to do bench presses but i dont have a bench can i do them on the floor

Answer:

Haha, your elbows hit the floor dude. You need to benchpress on the bench. Make sure you use proper form too.
yea i do it all the time the only hard part is getting it above you from the ground if you dont have a spotter.
You lose some 17.394% leverage and 18.895% muscle strain, but other than that it is productive, but not as productive as if done on a weight bench.
Why don't you just do pushup's ?
not a Real bench press you don't have the range of motion, since your legs are going to be laying on the floor you don't have that much stabilization.... in other words yes but they won't be really effective... if you can get 2-3 chairs you can manage to do dumbell bench presses....but other than that...i wouldn't try it...too much room for getting seriously injured...
