First of all, good luck getting a contract with the military unless you are friends with Dick Cheney If the magazine held 40 rounds that would be betterWith all the gear we have to carry adding a clip that is more bulky would be more of a painI wouldn't check the amount of rounds I had left anywayI would do a tactical reload when I had the chance just to make sure The M-16 is going to be phased out soon anywaySo it's not worth the effort.
As far as a clear magazine, that would only be useful in loading situationsAs said before, when firing you know when the mag is empty because the bolt locks to the rear, exposing the chamberPersonally I have always found it easier to carry a dump bag and the Bushmaster mag pullI personally don't think it would help because you'd have to line up the magazines and get in between the two, where as with a dump bag you just throw your empty mag in and pull another one out, a process that takes maybe 3-7 seconds (depending on how good you are, the more combat experience you acquire and the more under fire you are the quicker you tend to change mags)It's a good idea, but I don't think the military would go for itAs a suggestion, you should look into replacing or coming up with a better spring for the current m16/m4 mags, as they tend to malfunction when fully loaded with 30 rounds (I almost always loaded mine with 25, carrying the left over rounds in an extra mag)I have seen soldiers have to take apart mags time and time again to have to work the spring, if you could improve upon that I guarantee you it would be well received.
I never taped magazines together, and I'm also not cool with the whole snagging thingAs for the clear thing, I'm with everyone elseI never looked at the magazine, I was looking downrange for the next threatIf I had expended rounds and I had a second, I would just switch out magazines, and have a fresh one in there to begin withAlso, and this may be the luddite in me, but I'm not sure if I trust the strength of a plastic magazine over a metal one anyway.
Thats a tough oneDrinks are almost always low in fiber almost by definitionEven smoothies don't have a ton of fiberAnd fruits fiber is mostly found in the skin which is usually not found in juicesMaybe you can make Orange juice with pulp, unfiltered apple juice, and prune juice in just the right tasty combinationEven that won't have much more than a few grams of fiber Oh another idea is that you blend pineapple mango and papaya and make a juice with a couple of grams of fiberyou have to use some kind of juice with the fruit in the blender Hmmmsoy milk has more that than so maybe some kind of soy milk milkshakemaybe with peanut butter or maybe with fruits.
It really comes down to personal preference as to weather you put two mags together or notI know that all the operators I work with don't put mags together because all of us can load in about 2 sec or less and as already stated you have cover from the rest of the teamIts also a extreme rarity that one of us let alone two go completely dry (empty weapon bolt locked to rear) in a fightWe are trained to press check ammunition levels at every possible lul in a fight I really like the HK magsThey are far better than the slandered issue onesI wouldn't mind trying a clear mag during training to see what advantages could be gleaned from there use, if anyI would think that given a lul in the fight a clear mag would be a good thing as you would not have to remove it to press check, feel weight and feel top roundJust one shooters opinion hope it helps, great answers to everyone who contributedSee you in the Sand Box soon brothersSTAY IN THE FIGHT!
