Question:

Hit a fire hydrant and broke it, now what?

Here's the story. I backed into a fire hydrant in my townhouse (condo) parking lot. It broke right off but no water spraying out. I called police, they called fire fighters and they called city workers. The city said it is on private property so they cant fix it but it would probably only be about $1000 to fix, and told me to call the condo corp. I called them, told them the story now they are telling me it is going to cost $10,000 to fix! The condo wants me to pay these damages, but I don't believe it should cost that much and they wont get a second opinion. They have these guys coming tomorrow to fix the hydrant. I cannot put it through insurance because I was driving my company vehicle and my boss said if I have another accident or make any claims the insurance company would drop me, and I would end up losing my job. What can I do?!

Answer:

Yes, it can set-off *some* smoke detectors. Ionizing smoke detectors generally won't trigger from a fog machine - depending on the method of producing smoke. Particle detectors will be triggered. If you want to find-out, take a long-hot shower with the detector in the bathroom. If it goes off, it will be triggered by the fog machine. Good Luck!
Good It can be kinda rough to inform, Has the guy ever confirmed any awareness toward you at all? Have you caught him staring at you? Have you ever heard any rumors pronouncing he liked you earlier than this happened? If that is so then he probley fairly does like you, Myself i don't consider a man would go by means of all that crisis just for a test, I think that the rationale he desired to be your lab partner is on the grounds that he desired to be toward you, purpose if your lab partners he's going to be round you a large number, if your still no longer comfortable about it talk to him and ask him, if you happen to like him you must tell him and spot the place it goes from there, You on no account understand till you try!
