Question:

home repair fixing a boiler problem?

I have a hot water boiler with baseboard hot water. The boiler is brand new just had it put in this year and the problem is that for some reason I keep getting air in one of the lines. How can I take care of this problem? And could I put a bleeder on the boiler itself. Because I have to bleed the baseboards a lot . Please and suggestions

Answer:

The air probably entered when the boiler was replaced. The installer should be covering any problem during the first year. Call them first to try to correct the problem, if they bled the system properly you would not have that problem and they should have made sure an automatic air removal device is in place. You cant get air in the lines as long as there is pressure in the system unless it was already there.
You should have an expansion tank with an air bleeder on it. This bleeder is not working.
