Question:

House and lightning problem?

There is a house that my family wants to buy but it has been struck by lightning before, my question is does it have a greater chance of getting struck again then other houses? ( its a two story house) one of my friends had told me that her barn was struck twice in the same place so im afraid when i move in its going to get struck again!

Answer:

No. It shows reason. How on earth can we expect ourselves to be taken care of if we don't take care of ourselves with the resources we've been given.
KS clamped down on this practice last year, actually. Most small towns were forced to kick their speed limits up to 30 or 35 Baxter Springs sure did, as did Columbus and several others that I travel through fairly often. They can get a waiver from the state if they have a convincing argument for safety but not many were given out from what I've seen. I think Parsons got one for their new downtown section but that's the only one I'm aware of. If your town isn't in compliance, you may have to contact the State Highway Patrol or your State representative to get this changed.
