I have seen on the show Mythbusters the use of carbon fiber strands many times, for example, in the jetpack episode, where Adam makes the air ducts by taking a foam structure and layering in carbon fiber strips and resin. After that, it becomes as hard as if the whole thing were made of carbon fiber.I have also seen this technique used in a Kurt Schreckling style homemade jet engine, where the compressor blades are made of plywood, then layered in carbon fiber for strength and thermal protection from the extreme conditions in the engine. How is this achieved, and where could materials, resin, and hardener be bought?
While it is not safe for her to do this (major fire hazzard) it is very common for people to need white noise to relax and get to sleep..my used a fan forever for the same reason..can't sleep without the hummmmmind you it won't do much for keeping her warm! Tell her to find something safer..if warmth is an issue what about a space heatershould create white noise as well.
I love people who want things to run smoothly but don't want to pay for it Companies choose to pass the increase to customers, rather than taking a hit in profits, which is unfortunate. However, you can of course control how much this affects you by adapting spending habits - some of the things you mention affect people rarely (I, personally, have never bought a parachute. Don't know about you.) and others we tend to buy out of laziness or convenience - people will drive for five minutes rather than walk for twenty, we overbuy or overspend (i.e. cinema film etc). Which is fine - these things are *choices* - and things we can control. Tax is not. So I'd rather prices went up than tax. And tax increases will help cut the prices on other things - you mention heart valves - with nationalisaed medical services or increase government spending on welfare, you could get these considerably cheaper or free. And unlike tapes or movie-films, medical care is a necessity for many people, not a choice. I'm not saying it's all one way or another. I'm saying it's something that needs close examination and detailed debate. Which people seem to be doing, they definately don't seem asleep.
I would roast chestnuts. Chesnuts roasting on an open fire.
