Good luck with that. But you are unlikely to find a place where you'll see a quartz vein outcropping. -- But it is possible. More likely the area will be covered by overburden. And you'll need tools to take solid rock apart. That's not for the faint-hearted. Check out geological maps of the area to locate specific places of interest.
