Question:

How can I fix my bench press form?

I'm trying to get my bench press form right, with free weights, but whenever I try my left side seems to always be lower than the right causing it to be unbalanced. The weight isn't an issue here as even with the bar stripped of free weights, I still have this problem. However, when I go to the bench press machine, I am able to do that with no problem at all, so I'm sure it's my form that is a problem. What can I do?*I'm right handed if that matters...

Answer:

im exactly the same, im strong enough to lift the weight easily but my form makes it very difficult to lift hardly anything whilst doing bench press i am also right handed, and because my right side is used alot more its the stronger of the 2 and you can see that on the bench press. you can fix it either by using dumbells and doing more on your weaker side, or you can use weight machines and just lower the weight alot more than normal and do it 1 handed. alternatively if your not bothered about bench press and just want to work those muscles then you can use a bench/shoulder/chest press machine.
You can concert your family Doctor.
