Question:

How can I get mechanical energy from water flowing through a pipe?

I just need a small amount that could turn a small drive shaft which would operate valves opening and closing

Answer:

Frankly, I don't think that vacs are made as well as they used to be. I had a Sears Kenmore that I kept alive with replacement parts, from 1983 to about 2007. I bought another Sears Kenmore, and so far, it's a lotta plastic, but I've been pleased
I find that they stick horribly to a cookie sheet. I never bake pizzas on the rack as they instruct to do on the box. For Totinos, I have found this to be the best solution: Take cookie sheet/pan and place a layer of aluminum foil on it. Spray the foil with PAM. Bake. It comes off very easily then and does not soften the crust as you may think. Another alternative is using the non-stick aluminum foil that Reynolds puts out now (I think it is Reynolds). Then you don't need to spray the foil. That'll be 5-cents, please.
