unsweetened kool aide makes a fantastic dye for NATURAL fiber itemsWool, cotton, silk, etc rinse the item in vinegar, blend package or more koolaide in water sufficient to cover the itemPut the thing in pyrex or other glass baking dish and put into black plastic trash bag and securePut it out in the sun for about 4 to 6 hoursJust forget about it basicallyRinse til it runs clearand dry! or you can put into glass baking dish and put in micro for 5 minutes on high to achieve same thingJust make sure you use rubber bands or yarn instead of wire cored twist ties! We have also used food coloring the same way!! more colors are available this way!
