the chirping just continues to go. its hardwired and i cant find a place in the electric panel to shut it off. what do i do?
I think you should reinstall the system. You could back up your data using some live cd (ubuntu, knoppix, or anything like that) and do clean install.Otherwise back up your data and do system restore. You get to safe mode by hitting F8 while windows is loading. Good luck.
Look for an mp3 alarm clock. She can put whatever sound she wants into it to wake up to.
