My child urinated on the sofa more than once. Unfortunatly, the sofa is one part and cannot be cleaned. Is there anyway to get thesmell out?
Here are two options for you: White vinegar sponged on to the area, Soda water ~ Shake the bubbles out and sponge. You would need to test the fabric first in a discreet place, to make sure either solution didn't fade the colour. Shouldn't do. I have used these for getting pet's urine out of carpet etc. I hope these are of some help.
I have successfully removed odors from fabric covered furniture (including skunk odor and urine) by using my air purifier that produces a gas similar to ozone. I make a tent over the piece of furniture with a sheet or blanket and then put the purifier under the tent. After a few hours, the smell is gone and it never comes back!
You could hire a stream cleaner?about (?15) to hire. it would take a little while for your sofa to dry out but it would come up clean. You could just unload a whole can of fabreeze onto it? you could have it cleaned by a professional and then have it scotch guarded too keep away smells in the future.
