just got a geo tracker and want to lift and put bigger tires on it. how do i choose tires that fit? i think trucks go by vertical height in inches so do i just need to pick a tire that will fit my rim diameter?
it depends on how much lift or how big you want the tires. if you wanna put lets say 33x10.5 tires on, you would need at least a 4inch lift. those wheel well's aren't big enough to up tires sizes so easily like a truck can. you also have to comensate for how wide the tires are because you'll rub when you turn if they're too big. to fix this prob they make spacers that poke out the tires a bit more. i suggest goin to a tire shop and tellin em about how high you want it and they can give you an idea about what tires might fit.
