how do i clean my scaffold piercing?
It depends which piercing you have. Belly button piercing?? Ears? Nose? Tongue? There are different techniques depends on where about your piercing is.
Sea salt soaks are the best to clean it with. Thats 1/4 of a teaspoon of seasalt (no more than that .. way too strong!) in warm water. Don't use peroxide - it will burn the skin = x
Sea salt soaks 2-3 times a day, for 15 mins. (1/8-1/4 tsp non iodized sea salt dissolved in 8 oz distilled or bottled water) You can also buy H2Ocean which is the sea salt solution but in a spray can. It can be found at Hot Topic. Don't clean a piercing with anything like Peroxide, Rubbing Alcohol, Bactine, or Neosporin. Peroxide and Rubbing alcohol are harbors for bacteria and will dry out the piercing. Neosporin is for cuts and scrapes, not puncture wounds.
