Do I have to remove the clean out plug? Do I need a special tool to get it off? My sink is slow draining. From what I see (I used a flashlight) I saw a toothpaste cap, and a toothbrush down there. I think it is time for a drain cover.
If you give her notice you can withhold rent. You can't withhold it for the shower because it is not dripping into your apartment and is not a safety concern. The gas lines, electricity, lack of carbon monoxide detectors, and damaged fire extinguisher are all valid reasons. I would recommend finding a new apartment because if her other tenants are withholding rent and suing her she will never have the money to fix your apartment especially because she knows if you leave some powerless college kid will move in and probably never complain. Good luck
Take the battery out. If it hard wired you can just unplug it if this is an apartment building they will get a trouble code on a disconnected unit. and may knock on your door wondering whats wrong with it They also make covers for them generally for construction but can cover one and smoke all you want. If it hardwired I suggest you don't disconnect it You can use sandwich bags and a rubber band or plastic bag with tape or rubber band. hope it helps Lr
My Ford P/U does the same thing but only when going over a speed bump and it sounded more like a squeaking noise which I've learned to live with. I think the noise is coming from the sway/stabilizer bar rubber bushings.
