Question:

How do i deactivate a fire alarm?

i have a fire alarm in my apartment room that is on the roof. if i pull it off there is 3 wires connected to it. black red and white. i like to smoke in my room and not worry about the 5000 fine. if i pull the plug do they know i've tampered with it? can i unplug and plug back in at any time? whats other ways to stop it from going off? i thought about putting a bowl over it and duct taping it to the roof.

Answer:

Just go to a field, arena, or secluded area. I was watching a video on film making and the host said that was almost shot a cop because the people next door thought it was a real gun. FilmRiot is the channel. Tell any one around that they are not real, just to be sure.
The radioactive source emits alpha particles the air between the electrodes is ionized by the alpha particles a current flows between the electrodes - the alarm stays off a fire starts and smoke particles absorb the alpha radiation the circuit is broken so no current flows the alarm sounds I think that works out
