Question:

How do I determine how much resin I need?

My first attempt at resin casting is making a multiple part katana, I haven't made the mold for it yet so I am still trying to figure this out. Is there a general test one can perform on the object they are trying to duplicate to figure out how much resin is needed? I considered filling the mold with water and measuring how much came out, but I don't know if that is accurate enough. The resin I am considering is EasyFlo 60 Casting resin:

There doesn't have to be a sign about the fire hydrant, because there's a fire hydrant there. Don't park in front of them, and you won't get tickets. You're lucky there wasn't a need for the hydrant, because firemen LOVE popping the windows out of cars to run their hose right through. Just pay the ticket, and be grateful it didn't come with a butt full of glass.
I'd bet that you need smoke detectors, possibly even hard wired ones for a rental property. I'm sure someone in City Hall will be able to direct you to the correct department/person. Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if you would need fire extinguishers either.
You have exceeded the life expectancy of this car already. My advice, Start looking!
