Question:

How do I get burn marks off cement?

On the 4th, I lit off some of those Blasts that make a bunch of pops and made the mistake of throwing them on the white cement of my driveway and not the street, now the little black explosion marks wont come off. I first tried water: nothing. Then I tried water and scrubbing it with a thick wired broom: nothing. Then I tried soap and water and thick wired scrubber: nothing. Then I tried 409, water, and the thick wired scrubber: and still nothing. Does anybody have an alternative to soap? Anything abrasive that can take it off? Thanks. By the way, I've heard some people say, it's cement, who cares It's my driveway and it looks like there was a war between ants.

Answer:

Speed bumps are a bad solution. They damage vehicles, cause noise, and slow down emergency vehicles. Speed humps work better, but may not be the best solution. Ask your highway department to develop a traffic calming program. Narrowing the road slows down traffic, too, with less of the disadvantages of bumps.
It hurts his ears. Just think, dogs can hear things far away. Ever wonder why a click sound makes their ears perk or when you hear dogs howling when a fire truck goes by? Just make sure you have better ventilation to keep it from hurting your pooch :)
When a smoke alarm goes off, it is extremely loud. A dogs hearing is much more powerful and sensitive than a humans hearing is. Dogs are able to hear sounds that humans cannot hear. Any loud, piercing noise, really hurts a dogs ears because their ears are so sensitive and the loud noise scares them, so they do whatever they can to get away from that noise.
