either 1 of 2 things. 1- take the time and give it a good cleaning removing all the crumbs that burn and set off the smoke detector. 2- throw it out and buy a new one. - I do not recommend shutting the SD offbecause there is always the chance you may forget to turn it onand you know how murphy's law goes.
A security system is only as secure as those who use it. Without the human interaction security would be a mute point at best.
