I am installing flagstone in my backyardI found the perfect stones on craigslist but they are on pallets that each weigh a ton (I'm guessing)I am thinking of renting a hand pallet jack and trying to load them onto a large uhaul truckI'm worried that I won't be able to get the pallets from the ramp onto the bed of the truck since there is a gapHas anyone tried this before? What problems should I be aware of? The last thing I want to do is pay for the stones and the truck and then fail to get them onto the truckAny suggestions are welcome.
he is rightand guns dont kill people do,,,,, the 2nd amendmenti love guns to
The first one is just intimidatingIt looks like a real gun with its paintOther than that, I would say the second one is better, based on FPS and it being electric.
You aren't very likely to be able to get a pallet that weighs a ton onto a truck by yourself unless you have a forklift truckWhat I would do is rent a truck from someone other than U-Haul(whose trucks are usually pretty bad), such as Budget or National or Penske, a truck that has a power tailgateEven getting a pallet that heavy onto a power tailgate by yourself isn't realisticMaybe it could be done if you are extremely strong and accustomed to handling a pallet jack, but I don't know what the weight limit is on a power tailgateMake sure the truck you rent can carry the weight of the flagstonesYou didn't say how many there wereYou might want a five-ton truck, in which case I'd be very surprised if it didn't have a power tailgate because they are too high for a ramp to be feasibleGet a good sturdy hand truck, load the flagstones onto that in small enough quantities that you can get it on the power tailgate, and away you goOr use a ramp truck and load fewer flagstones onto the hand truckIf you rent a truck with a power tailgate and have never operated one, make sure you get clear instructions on how to do soThey have their dangersYou could also pay a delivery service to deliver them, a service that has the equipment(a crane on the truck) to load and unload these things quicklyThat might be just as economical.
