I have a digital cable box hooked up to the tv with an HDMI cable. I want the blu ray player to be connected with an HDMI cable.however the tv doesn't have another input. Is there such thing as a cable with a two to one connector?
it IS possible, however why would you? Blu-ray is HD and hooking it to an SD is purpose less. Rather hook up a standard DVD player to an SD tv and save some $$ from buying blu-ray if you only have standard definition TV's. I would recommend upgrading to an HDTV in order to see the full potential of blu-ray :)
What are you using for surround sound, or just using the tv sound? If you have a receiver you should connect everything to the receiver and then the receiver to the tv via HDMI cables. If you are using the tv only for sound then you can get a video/audio splitter from Best Buy or any electronic store with more than one HDMI connection in and one HDMI output for your tv. Hope this will help you out.
just use a component cable (red, green, blue) for picture and a redwhite, coaxial, or optical for sound
