Question:

How do I iron acetate material?

They gave us a acetate gown for graduation and they told us to use a cool iron. but i just cant get rid of the wrinkles.does anyone know what else i can do with damaging it?

Answer:

A clothes steamer (hand held will do) will get the wrinkles out in no time at all. If you have time, go to your dry cleaner and ask them to steam it for you. Or, stick it in the dryer, low heat, with a damp washcloth for a short time
Put the iron on medium heat. Use a damp hand towel and place the towel over the acetate and press and iron any wrinkles. Then use another dry hand towl to finish the job. Don't iron directly over the seams or they will show through. Iron on either side of the seam and don't iron the top of the hem if there is one. Each sewn seam will show through.
