How do i keep the edge of my crochet blanket flat?

the border around the edge is all turned upcan i iron it to keep it flat? I've tried stretching it all out but as soon as its pulled the other way it curls right back upI used %100 acrylic yarnthanks for your help :)

Try setting yourself on fire, that should do the trick.
If it was wool you could press it but I would not recommend pressing acrylicSynthetic fibres need steam to make them keep their shapeIf you press it, it may stretch out of shapeIf you have a steam iron then lay your blanket out flat and hold the iron ABOVE the work and allow the steam to seep into itDO NOT move the work until it has cooled completelyThis is vital as the work will stretch when it is still warm and go out of shapeIf you don't have a steam iron you can get a quite good result by simply wetting your work thoroughly then laying it flat to dryPull it into shape (you can use pins to keep it in shape if necesssary) and allow it to dry completely before you move itThis should take a lot of the curl out of your blanketThis is the method I prefer to use for all of my knitting as it is foolproofIf you don't get the result you want you can always try one of the other methods later.
