use a magnet if it sticks to the rim its steel if not its aluminum
all meatals wave diffent masses and properties. unlike steel, aluminum is lighter. this means if the wheel is lighter it is alluminum and if it's heavier it is steel
Usually aluminum wheels do not have hubcaps. If there is a cover over the wheel that comes off or peels back, then you don;t have aluminum wheels.
