How do you prevent indoor household items from rusting when you live near the ocean?

AC is too expensive to leaving running all the time, and as a result, my windows are always open to allow air flow through my houseHow can I prevent household items (pots, pans, anything that can rust) from rusting?

I do not know where you live where you can leave the windows open all the timeI have to assume perhaps the islandsI live on the ocean and battle the salt dailyThe windows are always closed with the air runningJust keeping the outside free from rust is enough and almost impossibleEverything that you buy for your home must be stainless steal or aluminumAny other metals when exposed to the salt air will corrodeThat is scienceEven my ocean grade hardware is pitted and all power coated aluminum fixtures are pealingWe replace items constantly and are always washing down the houseEven the landscape gets burned from the saltBuy only items that will not rust and those that already exist, wash them down as often as possible.

i never follow the directions on the boxi've discovered that the recommended cooking time and temperature always results in hard crust and burned toppingsinstead, i cook it at a lower temperature, and a little longer timeexample: if the box says 400 degrees for 15 minutes, i'll cook it at 300 degrees for 20 minutes - or until the topping just starts to brown a littlethat way, the crust comes out just right when cooking at a lower temperature, you can tell more about when the pizza is ready by just looking at the toppings to see when the cheese starts to brown.
