I just got a new vizio tv for Christmas and I wanted to know if and how I could use the vizio remote to control the tv and the cable and NOT use the ATT remote. The tv is a vizio m series 42.
Everyone here is wrong, you can program/sync your vizio remote to control your att uverse cable box. I know, its fkn awesome, people will be jealous and tell you its not possible, i.e. the people who mis lead you on this matter. I even control my DVD player, and my Xbox with my vizio remote, but enough about me, give me just a sec and ill come back and teach you the way, i was fiddling around earlier with mine trying to connet my bluetooth on my tv to my phone and somehow it un-sync-ed itself if thats even a word but let me figure out how to do it again and ill be back.
No. You need the U-verse remote to control the U-verse receiver. The normal approach is to program the U-verse remote to control the Vizio. I've done that with my Vizio and it works fine.
