Question:

How do you take apart personal alarms?

If you can even take apart a personal alarm, inside will I be able to find a circuit board with positive and negative wires that I can hook up in series with a pull chain type of switch (like the lamps) and a 9 volt battery?

No, they aren't. It's conservative watch groups that are leading the charge against Palin in Alaska. Palin tried to claim travel expenses and nightly out of town expenses for living in Wasilla, just 45 miles away from the governor's mansion. If it wasn't unethical, why does she have to pay back all that money?
mirrors are a sheet of glass with a reflective coating on the back of them, mostly, they are thin layers of metals, such as silver or aluminium. that reflective coating is then covered with a protective layer of paint to prevent it from being scratched. the glass on the front keeps the reflective coating rigid and stops it from oxidizing (rusting), plus it's cheaper to make a sheet of glass with a foil thin layer of metal on the back of it than it is to make a whole sheet of polished metal that is thick enough to support it's own weight, plus you would need to keep polishing a sheet of metal to keep it shiny.
