how does a common thief disable a home alarm?

how does a common thief disable a home alarm?

Answer:

I do it but i try to hide it. But if I saw it I wouldn't really think it looks dumb, I mean really you're just being resourceful.
Ask your parents. For one you do not want to have an open system that is unless you want your neighbors to be able to crack into your network and mess up your machine for fun. Second they will have the password that you will need to connect by wireless. Third there is another layer of security called MAC Access. (Media Access Control not Apple) Every Network Interface has its own MAC number and if your parents have that also set up on the router even with the password the router will ignore your machine until the Netbooks MAC is put into the list of allowed machines. The router will go to this list if you have a password and check if your machine is on the list if it is not it will not allow connection. If your parents do have this MAC Access enabled, good for them they deserve the Geek parent award. They have a good secure network, unlike the many others out there.
