I‘m soon going to put an exhaust on my civic, I want a bit more power and a nice sound. What do you guys think of magnaflow, does it add a good amount of power?, does it sound nice?
Ok, people with hondas have a huge misconception about how horsepower is actually gained. Civics engines also work on backpressure. Opening up the exhaust without proper modification equals toasted rings and valves later on in life. Yes you will have a few extra horsepower. But do you really understand what horsepower is? Horsepower topspeed. If you looking for a drag car, an open exhaust is definatly the wrong way to go. You need to worry about how to get more torque out of the car. And hondas are torque less wonders.
How it sounds is up to you. It's a waste of money as far as providing any useful power increase. You'll never notice the few extra horsepower in everyday driving.
