A new lock will be cheaper to buy than paying a locksmith. Drill the lock. Looking at the key hole in the US there will be a wider space at the bottom and a narrow space on top. Just above the narrow part of the keyhole drill it out using about a 3/16 cobalt or very hard bit. It will mess up the lock and it will have to be replaced but you will be able to do that cheaper than paying an Locksmith. Oh one last note are you sure there is not a bypass. Think about windows. Some windows can be easily opened with a blade type. Have you tried using a shim on the latch you can make one out of a beer or soda can. The thing is to slip the shim or plastic card in from the back of the latch. That is how I bypass non-deadbolt latches. Trying to slip it in from the front will not work. Like I say below I am not a locksmith but this has been my experience.

But it is illegal for you to lie to police. That's a valuable lesson. Cooperating with the cops only got you in trouble. Cooperating with the cops has never helped anyone. So the next time they stop you and ask for permission to search their car, your answer will be -?? what? Right exactly.
