Question:

How long can you keep frozen pie shells in the car?

I bought some frozen pie tart shells at the supermarket, but left them in my car for a whole dayIt does say keep frozen on the boxIs this ok? Will the shells go rotten or something? Thanks

Answer:

I was going to answer this but there are so many differences it would fill a bookJust a few points though: 1) Aluminum is not necessarily lighter than Chrome Molybdneum; 2) Either material- when used for a bike frame they are both alloysChrome moly steel is an alloy of iron, chromium, molybdneum and some other stuff while aluminum alloy is made of several components mixed together as well; 3) Aluminum must be anealed and tempered after weldingIncorrect execution of this may result in sudden catastrophic failure; 4) Steel will last forever (provided it doesn't rust) while aluminum has a limited life depending on alloy, usage, and temper'nuff said.
Cro-Moly is tougher, easier to fix with welding, and can offer a more forgiving ride over bumps as steel can absorb energy as it flexes.[I'm no physicist] Aluminum can offer a lighter frame that will be stiffer and this stiffness can help pedaling forces go from your crank to the wheel as the frame will flex less when pedalingYet,when tube butting/tapering comes into place, and it usually does, then this stiffness in aluminum can be altered and some flex can occurMost high end alu frames have a replacable rear derailler hangerI'm sure a few exist, but I have never, myself, seen a steel frame with a replacable derailler hangerMany can weld steel, even custom reynolds tubed frames if they know the right tempuratureThe same is not said about aluminum frames as the type of aluminum and welding tempurature is a must with not much margin for errorI own both steel and aluminum bikesI prefer steel for a road bike, steel for a hardtail commuter/trail bikeI like aluminum for a full suspension and a front shock hardtail mtbMy one exception is my aluminum singlespeed mtb with a steel forkSo in the end it is a personal preferance not that one is better than the otherJust one persons opinion.
Chromium-Molybdenum Steel versus AluminumSteel is heavier, very strong, flexes some and can absorb shocks very wellAluminum is lighter and does not flex as muchAluminum-frame bikes are usually lighter than steel-frame bikes.
