I've heard that when you burn digital photographs to a CD-R, they don't last as long as one would like. About how long do they last, and are there any better storage methods for digital photographs?
doesn't matter what kind you buy. If some one wants your bike, they will find a way to cut/break the lock.
it's kind of like a doggy bulletin board. Just by smelling a hydrant where dogs have been marking, a dog can tell which dogs have been there, which order they appeared in, how long ago they visited, their general state of health and state of mind. They can tell when a new dog moves into the neighborhood. That sort of thing.
Jesse At least two locks. One a krypto Ulock, regular key. 2nd lock, I just saw at Lowe's. It is made by Schlage, A 6 foot 5/8 inch cable lock ( a 5/8 inch cable wow!!). It can be keyed to match your dorm or home key too! If you can afford a 3rd lock, a 'Street Cuff'. The Ulock and Street Cuff' fix to the frame, rear wheel and a fixed object, the cable (5/8 of an inch!) weaves thru the wheels, frame, and locks as well as around / through the fixed object. Weave the locks thru the wheels and frame and attach to a fixed object / bike rack. The idea is to have the thief need to bring so many tools that it would be soooo obvious. Each of these locks will require a different major tool to defeat it! I used to store the bike in my dorm and apartments by standing it on its back wheel in a corner. Be sure to lock it there too. In real bad theft situations take the front wheel and bike seat with you! Put the saddle in the back pack you use to carry your books and locks in. For my daughters bikes we put a rear rack on the bike, and attached a large stainless steel basket to it. You can throw in your books, soccer bags, even a large bag of groceries in with no muss or fuss. Socccerref
