How long should a set of tires on a street motorcycle last with typical use.?

Answer:

depends on how yo ride the bike if you dont burn out it should last at least 6 months
David was right, and I can add what he says by saying it also depends on the amount of air pressure of the tire and how you ride the bike you rookies never check ur tires air pressure, I check my tires every time I take my bikes out and you can increase the life of ur tires if you add a slightly higher psi to ur tires than whats recommended, on my Yamaha FZ6 the rear tire calls for 36psi , I keep it at 42psi
There's no answer to this. On a lightweight touring bike I could get 15,000 miles on Dunlop K491s. Few people get more on anything. On a 1000 sport bike I could burn through a set of high performance tires in 2000. On the fastest bikes, some people could go through them faster.
