She is definitely pregnant because I can see and feel the eggs inside her. I have put a 2l ice cream container with damp vermiculite inside the cage as soon as I saw her scratching around.I have a male and female and he doesn‘t seem hostile towards her so the pet shop owner told me I could leave her in the cage.I also need to know what types of food and in what quantities I should feed them. I have been giving them carrots and parsley and the occasional tomato to eat and I give them crickets every day. I do dust the carrots with calcium every other day. Am I on the right track or not? I got them about 3 weeks ago and the previous owner didn‘t care for them very well. I want to give them the best care possible
Good luck starting one without it.
Hi there I can not comment on egg laying but as far as diet goes they need to be given greens every day. Carrots are ok but in moderation as too much vitamin A can be harmful. Avoid Broccoli, Spinach and lettuce. Curly Kale is a favorite and frozen mixed vegetables is popular with my dragons. Sweet potato's, apples, grapes are all good. The key is variety and everything in moderation. There are loads of websites who have advice on what to include in their diets. Bugs can be fed every other day. You are on the right track but sounds like you need lots more advice to help you care for the dragons, plus you may have babies on the way and you'll need more help with incubation and baby care.
