Sounds like a $69-$79 service call would be a small price for peace of mind. If a service techs finds a cracked heat exchanger they have to tag it by law. Can't be run until problem is fixed/unit is replaced. Give receipt with rent subtracting the service call. One clue is if you get head aches within a few days of using the furnace.
