If the windshield wipers switch not broken from inside the steering column. It's a faulty wiper relay . Change the relay
on Chevy and Fords its always the wiper delay module.sounds like the same problem.
Look at the repair manual and find out where the relay is and replace this. If this does not work then the switch. Unless you got a meter and can ohm them out to see which is bad.
If it makes a roaring noise all of the time or gets quiet when you turn a certain way, it might be the wheel bearing. That will not be replaced with the axle and your axle might be fine. If you hear clicking when turning that might be the axle shaft. Get someone to look at it before buying anything.
axles really wont make much noise when driving unless you go to turn left or right (more often, left). if you let them get really bad, it will sound as if they are loose but it wont be loud. that guy up top is correct. wheel bearing will make tons of racket. wheel bearings dont cost much.they are small and easy to put in. axles dont either.you can get axles for 100 bucks brand new but its the labor that gets you. go under the car and look at the axle. is there grease on it? if so, its broken.
